Hi I’m Kelly Douglas, I’m the owner of Townsville Unique Hair & Beauty, I am a qualified hairdresser and beauty therapist; who has been in the industry for over 12 years and enjoys every moment of what I do. I enjoy making my clients feel relaxed and welcome, and strive to exceed customer expectations with professional treatments and a customer focused approach. I recently updated my skills to obtain a Diploma in Beauty Therapy, were I won the award “Student of the Year”, for my customer satisfaction and hard work throughout the Diploma. I am always keen to update my skills and further my education in the industry to ensure I give my clients the highest possible standard available. Unique Hair Design was first established in 2008 as a mobile hairdressing business in Townsville, catering to all aspects of hairdressing from cuts & colours through to formal hairstyles for special occasions and in particular weddings. There was a need for a mobile hairdresser in Townsville, as I understood how busy peoples lifestyles can be. With this convenient service, I gave people the opportunity to have their hair done professionally in the comfort of their own home by a qualified stylist, without having to spend most of the day in a salon. Our clientele ranges from families with young children, the elderly to busy working class, I was determined to offer a service that would be convenient for all, with flexible hours to try to accommodate everyone’s timeframes. In 2011 we decided it was time to open a hair & beauty salon in Cranbrook. To ensure we were able to continue mobile hairdressing on selective days, we chose to open the salon from our home by appointment only. This gives us the flexibility to cater for mobile clients and clients that prefer the salon environment, but still like the one on one focus, which is what we offer at Townsville Unique Hair & Beauty. We believe that our customers’ needs are of the utmost importance, we are committed to meeting everyone’s needs. As a result a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. As of January 2011 Unique Hair Design will now be trading as "Townsville Unique Hair & Beauty". The reason for our name change is we have opened a new hair and beauty salon in Cranbrook. All hair & beauty treatments will be available by appointment only, in a professional & relaxed environment.
There is no need to worry; mobile hairdressing will still be available upon request.
